Recent News/Opportunities To Get Involved:

Community Potlucks after 545 every 1st Sunday of the month
This fall, we will be sharing dinner together, potluck style, after the 545 worship service on the first Sunday of every month.
Bring something to share and stay after the 545 service to eat.

*September 7th: 545 Outdoor Worship and 1st Community Potluck
On Sunday September 7^th, 545 worship will be gathering outside in the parking lot with guest preacher and this year’s All Church Retreat Speaker, Jim Burns. Bring a food item to share and stay after the service for a 545 community potluck and a chance to get to know Jim Burns with a casual time of Q & A.

Young Adult Retreat - Registration is now up online! We will be taking a road trip together out to Zion National Park in Utah over Labor Day Weekend (August 28 - September 1). We will be sharing a campsite with the young adult group from Bel Air Presbyterian Church. Cost is $110 per person which does not include shared gas and meals on the road. Please email Lisa if you have any questions about the trip or if you would like to be a part of the planning.

Creation Care Opportunities - the E-waste Day held on May 3rd, 2008 was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make it happen. The YA facebook page has lots of pictures of Young Adults serving God's creation.

We rescued over 34 tons of junk from the landfills, filling three 53 foot semi trucks with no room to spare. (Last year we took in 20 tons). Donations came in at over $4600, which will fund environment projects we are involved in both here and in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Holy Lands Trip - Are you interested in a trip to the Holy Lands in February 2009? A small group of Young Adults may be partnering with Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian on an "Ultimate Journey" - contingent upon interest. Check out the itinerary here and email Lisa or Josh with questions or for more information.
