Caring, praying and serving with compassion, with Jesus as our example, define Deacons Ministries. The church charges its Deacons, "to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith."

Flowers Ministry - Suzie Pegel
The beautiful flowers gracing the sanctuary are provided in honor of loved ones or special events. On Sunday, the bouquets are distributed to shut-ins and nursing homes.
Meals Ministry - Melanie Gill
The Meals Ministry supports families experiencing illness, surgery, an accident, emotional problems, or loss of a loved one by preparing and delivering meals to their homes.
PRAYER - Team Leader - Gloria Dettbarn
As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe that the Holy Spirit connects us in relationship with God and with each other. Prayer offers us an opportunity to talk with and listen to our Lord. It is through prayer that we are empowered with the Holy Spirit to continue the Lord's work here on earth.
Intercessory Prayer Teams - Carolyn Jones
SBPC has several Intercessory Prayer Teams that meet together either weekly or monthly to pray for the specific prayer needs of various ministry areas of our church.
Wednesday Intercessory Prayer Group - 5-10 individuals who feel called to pray for the ministry staff, the congregation and the church's ministry programs. They meet every Wednesday at 12:00pm in the Prayer Room.
Mission Prayer Team- a group led by Pastor Tom Theriault to pray for the missions and missionaries of our church and our community. They meet Wednesday mornings at 10:00am in the Children's Library.
First Sunday Prayer Meeting- a group of individuals in our congregation who meet together each month at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary to pray for our church, the ministry staff and the ministries of our church.
545 Prayer Team- a group of individuals who pray for the church, its outreach to 18-35 year olds and for specific needs pertaining to the 545 worship team and worship service. They meet every Sunday evening at 5:00pm.
Children's Ministry Prayer Group- this group meets weekly to pray for the Children and family Ministry area.
Prayer Chain - Carolyn Jones
This growing ministry area consists of over 100 individuals from all ages, stages and walks of life, who have committed to pray for our church, ministry staff and for individual prayer requests received from the care and prayer cards and the church's website. It provides individuals with emotional and spiritual support to live graciously in all circumstances, helps us to see and hear how God's steadfast love is working in our world today, and reinforces our need to pray for each other. This ministry area is focused on providing individuals and small groups in our church with prayer resources and educational opportunities that will enrich their prayer lives and encourage them to pray for others in our congregation and community.

Blood Drive and Bloodmobile - providing for our congregation and local community.
Food Pantry - serving those in need.
Medical Supplies - wheel chairs, crutches, walkers, and general medical supplies are among the equipment available.
Memorial and Funeral Receptions - Cindy Alvey
Deacons organize and provide a reception following memorial services for family and friends.
Transportation Ministry - Nick Stahl and Carol Mead
Offers rides to church, some doctor appointments, and church events.
