Amor Ministries

The Luque Henriquez family lives in Sonora, Mexico and has been through many struggles. Miguel, the father of 4, is currently unable to work due to a rare form of anemia that leaves him in desperate need of a transfusion. Guadalupe, his wife, works every day washing other people’s clothes by hand to earn about $50.00 a week, barely enough to provide necessary food and medicine for her husband and 3 other disabled children, which leaves nothing left for a decent home.

The walls creak as the wind moves through this rickety shack with a worn blue tarp for a roof. Guadalupe was afraid that one day her children would be hurt or trapped inside this home if it ever collapsed with them inside.

A local pastor in Mexico saw this family’s desperation. He teamed up with Amor Ministries, and a group of individuals from the United States was then organized to build this family a sturdy home, a foundation on which the love of Christ is built. Luque and Guadalupe now have a safe place to raise their family. They know that they can go to the local church to meet their needs, and are open to the Word of God.

Supporting the ministry of the local pastors in Mexico, Amor provides the basic needs of the impoverished Mexican people and provides a short term mission trip that will change the lives of all involved. Will you be the answer to families like the Henriquez’s? Get involved. Make a difference. Build a home that will last.
