I came to the Mission in June of 2006 looking for a change. I didn’t expect to receive the glorious miracle I did receive. God has blessed me with a newfound faith not only in Him but also in myself. He has shown me that I can make a difference and I do have a purpose. My job in the Clothing Room has given me the courage to once again believe in myself. My faith, while always strong, has been growing more and more as I come to realize the true and wonderful power of Jesus Christ. I owe more than words can say to the Mission and its staff. They have helped me and guided me through the troubled waters. Now, while it is not yet smooth sailing, the waters are calming and the wind is now down to a nice cool breeze. Not only the staff but also many of the residents have helped me grow with their love and friendship. I didn’t think I would ever find the peace I now have. I am now attending a wonderful church that has taken me in as one of their own. Stepping Forward: Women’s & Children’s Center
· Provide childcare while their mother’s are in various programs
· Weekend Chapel—your small group could provide bible message and singing
· Help with GED program
· Beautician to aide with grooming
· Thrift stores - our truck will come to your home, office or church to collect gently used clothi9ng and household items
· We can always use hygiene products. His includes sample size soaps, deodorants, toothbrushes & paste, shampoo etc.
· Hold a canned food drive at the office, school or church
· Serve meals at holidays
