As we anticipate Community Serve Day on Sunday, October 9th, we encourage you to sign-up to serve as a family at one of our many serve sites. You can register for projects at the Community Serve Day website. The last day to register is Wednesday, October 5th.
If you are serving at a site that is not family-friendly and need childcare for your little ones, please register here. Our children's program is for children Birth-Kindergarten from 8:30am-1:30pm by reservation only. The last day to register is Friday, October 7th.
Donations Needed for Community Serve Day
Aren't able to participate at a serve site, or would like to do more? Consider donating items to one of the following sites (you most likely already have something laying around your house to contribute!) We need supplies for Hygiene Kits that are being donated to the San Diego Rescue Mission and items for a Rummage Sale that will benefit the Community Resource Center. Both are great tangible way to talk to your kids about some of the various projects that are going on during Community Serve Day, and why it is so important that we give freely with our time, spiritual gifts, and resources!
Please help support the San Diego Rescue Mission by bringing in any of the following items which will be used to create hygiene kits for homeless men, women, and children on Community Serve Day:
• Shampoo/Conditioner/Soap (hotel items ok as long as they have not been used)
• Toothbrush/Toothpaste/Floss (no mouthwash please)
• Hand Sanitizer
• Razor/Shaving Cream
• Socks (for Infants/Children, Women, & Men)
• Note(s) of Encouragement
All items should be new and travel size! Hotel, airplane, or sample items ok as long as they have not been opened.
Drop off items:
• Sunday Mornings (8:30am-12:00pm) in the bins on the patio
• Wednesday Nights (6:30pm-8:30pm) in bins at Fuel (RM 18), Fringe (Jr High), or Impact (High School)
• Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) in the Church's Front Office (or 8am-2pm in the Preschool Office)
• Friday Morning (8:45am-11:45am) in bins at MOPS in Debin Hall
• Saturday (12pm-2pm) in bins at the MOPS Rummage Sale Drop-Off in the Jr. High Room (drop off 3-7pm Thursday and Friday also ok)

Need to clean your closet or garage? Here's the perfect incentive!! MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is hosting a Community Serve Day site that will be putting on a Rummage Sale the morning of Sunday, Oct. 9th. We need clothes, household items, toys/games, electronics, furniture, sports equipment, art, etc. No car seats, cribs, or large appliances please (ex. furnace, hot water heater, refrigerator, etc.)
All proceeds, as well as extra items, will go to the Community Resource Center). The Community Resource Center is dedicated to helping women and children, individuals, and families live safe, self-sufficient lives by providing critical assistance in the areas of domestic violence services, food programs, and emergency & transitional housing assistance.
If you have anything you would like to donate for the Rummage Sale, please drop it off in the Jr. High Room:
• Thursday, Oct. 6th, 3-7pm
• Friday, Oct. 7th, 12-7pm
• Saturday, Oct. 8th, 12-2pm
Can't drop it off at the above times? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an alternative drop-off time.
Also, please stop by SBPC and shop on Sunday, Oct. 9th from 9am-12:30pm in the middle parking lot (labeled Parking Lot 3) outside the Student Center!
