Snowmageddon 2013 is Coming!
Take a half-day off from school on Friday and charge on up to the Big Bear Lake Christian Conference Center for a weekend of fun and frivolity- two ingredients for a sweet Junior High Winter Camp. This year we are teaming up with churches all around Southern California for one extra large and extra awesome weekend camp. We're packing a lot of fun into one weekend including Saturday activity options like a day of adventures around Big Bear or skiing and snowboarding on Bear Mountain. Plan on a weekend of teaching, singing, hanging out, and of course snow, snow and more snow- we're going to play in it, tube in it, throw it at each other and make sure to avoid the yellow stuff. Register now!
Friday, February 8th through Sunday, February 10th.
The cost of the trip is $220 per student. This includes transportation, meals, and basic activities. Students can bring additional spending money (about $20 is recommended). There will be an additional cost for students interested in skiing or snowboarding. That cost is $50 for an all day lift ticket and $30 for equipment rental, unless bringing your own gear.
*Helmets are mandatory*
More information about skiing/snowboarding can be found at Bear Mountain.
The camp is taking place at the Big Bear Lake Christian Conference Center located on the south shore of Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino mountains at an elevation of 6,500 feet.
We are traveling by bus to and from the camp. We will be using vans to transport students who want to ski/snowboard to and from the mountain.
On Saturday, students have the option of spending the day skiing/snowboarding or exploring Big Bear with leaders. Activities include
-Optional Skiing/Snowboarding (additional cost)
Departure from Church: Meet at the church at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8th.
Arrival back to Church: Pick up students at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th.
