Cindy was raised in Sedro Woolley, Washington, where she attended the Lutheran and United Methodist Churches. As a high schooler, she completed Confirmation in the Lutheran Church and regularly participated in its youth activities where the love, warmth, and an amazing community of believers lead her to accept Christ into her life. Each day her strength comes from God's grace. Married to Doug for 28 years, they were blessed with 3 children. Their oldest, Nigel, was in a bicycle accident when he was 15, Oct. 2007, and now dwells in heaven with our Lord. Emma and Rory are both attending college. She and Doug participated in Bible Studies and led a high school youth group in WA. After moving to San Diego, they joined SBPC in 2002. She has been participating in small groups, KidsGames, Come Build Hope, and Community Serve Day where she brought church members together in a series of projects on the Boy Scout sites. The last few years she has moved from swinging a hammer to swinging prayers as the On Site Prayer Partner. It is time for change and a new way of serving our Lord. Cindy looks forward to taking this opportunity to step out in the fullness of life.
