Hong-Hai was born and raised in Saigon during the Vietnam War and immigrated to the U.S. in 1975. Brought up with a strong Christian heritage and foundation, Hong-Hai personally trusted Christ at age 10. In 1999, God called Hong-Hai from her nursing profession to full time mission work with International Teams until 2013. God has led her to minister to the Vietnamese in various parts of the world through evangelism, church planting, discipleship training, medical missions, and compassion ministries with orphans and children at risk. Hong-Hai and her husband, Don, joined SBPC in 2013. Since then, she has been a part of the Outreach Leadership Team, Latin America Discerning Team, CSD, KidsGames, Children's Ministries, One Youth, Compassion Team, Afar Teams, and MOPS. Hong-Hai and Don have recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They are blessed with two daughters and sons-in-law, two grandsons, and a son who has gone Home to be with Jesus. Hong-Hai is humbled and grateful to be called to serve as an Elder at SBPC.
