10:15am Sunday Worship Service
Our 10:15 am is full of energy and life. We sing hymns, songs, and spirituals led by the Chancel Choir, hear announcements, and have the opportunity to hear a message based on Biblical truths.
What time should I get there?
We recommend parking your car about 10 minutes prior to the service time. This will allow you to walk to the sanctuary, be greeted, put on a name tag, and find a seat. If you have kids and would like to have them experience our great children's programs, you may want to add another 10 minutes. This will give you time to sign them in at a table on the patio in front of the Children's Ministry Center.
Will I be singled out as a visitor?
When you first arrive at the sanctuary, you will see small tables with name tags. You don't have to wear one, but we encourage everyone to use one so you can be greeted by name. There are no special "visitor" tags, so don't worry about being singled out. If you would like more information about our church, stop by the information table on the patio.
What is the service like?
When you enter the sanctuary, you will be warmly greeted and handed a packet that contains news, announcements, worship service outline, message outline, and more. Feel free to sit anywhere you are comfortable.
Here is what you can expect at a typical 10:30 worship service:
* An organ or instrumental song
* a congregational song (There will be words on screens so you can sing along.)
* a greeting followed by a responsive reading
* more songs sung by the congregation and the Chancel Choir
* announcements (you can also take this time to fill out a card to keep in touch with us)
* offering (if you are a visitor, please do not feel obligated to give - you are our guest)
* message (hearing from a pastor about Biblibal truths)
* closing song
Often, we will also have special elements like baptisms, greeting new members, hearing from a guest singer, communion, and more.
Communion is taken on the first Sunday of every month. At this service, ushers pass around pieces of bread and small cups of juice. We eat the bread and drink the juice as we remember Christ's sacrifice. Communion is available to everyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ.
How long is it?
The service lasts from 60 to 75 minutes.
What should I wear?
Most people at this service wear casual to regular business attire. You might find a few suits at this service.
What about my children?
Children and students are welcome to worship with us in the sanctuary for the entire service, however, if you would like your children to experience our great children's programming, you may sign them on the patio at a table in front of the Children's Ministry Center before worship. After you sign them in, they will go to worship with you in the sanctuary for the first 20-25 minutes of the service. About 20 minutes into the service they will be dismissed to meet their teachers outside the sanctuary where they will be taken to their classrooms. Learn more.
Jr. High and Senior High students worship with their families in the service. Classes for Jr. and Sr. High students are provided at the 8:45am worship service.
What if I have questions?
Please stop by our information table on the patio (you can't miss the sign) or feel free to speak to any of our ushers and greeters.
